With the a committee hearing scheduled on October 22nd for Bill 64, we ask that market-goers familiarize themselves with the implications this legislation could have. Annabelle Ink's article published in Civil Beat, titled "Honolulu Bill To Rein In Fake Farms Threatens Real Ag Enterprises," highlights the potential consequences of this bill.

The article features insights from Kim Falinski of Nalo Meli Honey, a vendor at our KailuaTown and Kaka'ako Farmers Markets, who expressed her concern that this bill could put her out of business. It could also affect other small farms as well.

Your participation could make a difference! As the committee hearing date approaches, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the bill and voice your concerns to the Honolulu City and County, so that integral small farms and local businesses can continue to support our community.
