For over 75 years, the Sounds of Aloha Chorus (SOA) has been entertaining audiences in Hawai‘i and overseas with its unique a cappella sound, off-beat humor, and heartfelt presentation. SOA will be performing a diverse repertoire of barbershop standards, hapa haole and local favorites, Broadway and jazz numbers, holiday music, patriotic pieces, and songs from the Great American Songbook.

SOA supports choral programs for youth and holds a Hawaii A Cappella Academy for high school singers. The chorus also has performed and competed in California, Oregon, Australia, and New Zealand.
The Sounds of Aloha invite guests of all kinds, especially prospective male singers, to visit its weekly rehearsals. Many members join with little or no formal music experience before joining. Rehearsals normally are held on Monday evenings at the Honolulu Elks Lodge 616, but please confirm weekly meeting information at www.soundsofaloha.org, under “Events.”

SOA also encourages female guests to visit our rehearsals or those of our sister choruses, Honolulu Blend and Na Leo Lani.

"Farmers receive only a small portion of the retail price for food. Most of the cost paid by consumers is taken up by corporate monopolies in the distribution, processing, and retail sectors. We need greater enforcement of antitrust laws in the food supply chain to ensure fairness for farmers and consumers."
